Mac Burning
Intro: Basically burning the old style BIN files on your mac. These are for Non Boot games.
What you need: This is a list of what is needed to burn the BIN games on your Mac. "Toast" to burn later on, "Mac Binchunker b3 or later" to convert the BIN, "MacRar" to unrar the files if that's what you need to do and Unpacker if your archive contains an Unpack.exe file.
Using Mac Binchunker: Open the Mac Binchunker app and you are asked to locate the CUE sheet and the BIN file. After you have you will see a window with a progress meter in %, if this window gives a CUE error then you may have a bad cue so refer to the bottom section of this Guide on how to fix your bad cues.
After it's finished you will have a file with .iso on the end eg: game.iso and if any audio is found it will be saved as AIFF.
*NOTE* Only Use Mac Binchunker 1.1 or later if you wish to convert a BIN that contains audio.
Games with unpack.exe: For a game that includes the files Unpack.exe you simply run Unpacker for Mac on your Unpack.exe file and this will rip the MP3 tracks from the unpack archive. The audio tracks (mp3's) are treated the same as AIFF's when burning.
Burning on Mac using Toast: Great the easy part, Find the .ISO file, Now simply open Toast and drag the ISO to the Toast window, it should recognise it as a ISO 9600 CD-ROM. If you have audio tracks just drag them on in order aswell and make sure they are AFTER the ISO.
Insert a blank and burn your CD.
You may notice is the ISO is now smaller than the BIN and is in a friendlier format.
Cue Sheet Repair
How to fix your bad Cue's: Mac Binchunker keeps spitting out your cue's?
Find a CUE sheet that HAS worked, any working CUE sheet you have used in the past is fine. Open Simple text on Mac to Open the CUE sheet and simply delete the File name, in this case it would be GAME.BIN and change it to the BIN you are burning for example YOURGAME.BIN and then save.
There you have a fixed CUE sheet which will work in CDRWIN or Fireburner and Mac Binchunker and so on.
